With a background in urban design and architecture, Sirous has played an essential role in many high profile master planning projects with his focus on campuses, waterfronts, downtowns and new communities across North-America, the U.K., and Asia, for both public and private sector clients. 

Over the past several years, Sirous has also made key contributions to the office’s Vancouver and Ottawa portfolios. Sirous has been involved with several successful campus master plans. Most recently, he has been one of the lead designers in the development of the Simon Fraser Campus Master Plan and Surrey Centre Master Plan in Vancouver. He helped developing the University of Ottawa Campus Master Plan and Precinct Plans, which has won numerous awards of excellence. He prepared plans for Brock University Student Housing, Amazon HQ2 Campus for City of Ottawa and Cardiff University (Cathays Park) Urban Design Framework Plan.

Sirous was the lead designer on the award-winning streetscape enhancement design framework (Niagara Complete Streets) for Niagara Region and the Scott Street Community Design Plan, which is guiding infill development and public realm improvements around the Tunney’s Pasture LRT station in Ottawa. 

He also completed a master plan for a Downtown Cultural Hub in the Town of Oakville, a master plan for a Brownfield Opportunity Area in Buffalo, New York, a community design plan for the Carling-Bayview area in Ottawa, a plan for a new commercial district development in Montreal called Marche Central, and a master plan framework for KamSheung Road New Development Area in Hong Kong. Sirous was awarded the Toronto Society of Architects Award by John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design (University of Toronto) for his thesis approach on Garrison Creek Urban Daylighting. In his previous practice as an architect, he participated in various design projects for a wide range of building types and uses.
