Project Manager, Metrolinx

Maria Nikolova works as a Project Manager for Metrolinx on the Yonge North Subway Extension. Her primary role is working closely with the Technical Advisor consultant team to balance project scope, budget, and schedule while managing internal and external stakeholders. 

Maria has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree from Waterloo University and a Master of Architecture from McGill University. Maria is a licensed architect in Ontario. 

She started her Transit Architecture career in 2008 working on Dufferin Station as an intern for TTC. She has traveled and worked for international and domestic firms, on projects ranging from commercial, high-end residential, educational and research. She returned to Toronto and the TTC as an Architectural Designer in 2014, where she worked until joining Metrolinx in 2020 in her current role.
